Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer - Fine Dining Berlin
If you want to have a proper dinner when in Berlin an obvious choice is the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer in the history-laden Kempinski Adlon hotel directly next to the Brandenburg Gate. This establishment is lead by the two-Michelin-starred chef Hendrik Otto. Let’s see whether Kings and Emperors would be satisfied still today were they guests of Lorenz Adlon, like they did in his time.
Find my review of the Adlon hotel here.
1st Course - Halibut
2nd Course - Zucchini
3rd Course - Saddle of rabbit
4th Course - Pigeon
Intermezzo - Ice cream
5th Course - Dessert: Raspberries and puff pastry
And to finally top if all off: a very nice grappa Eligo dell’Ornellaia from Tuscany.
We chose a bottle of this Bordeaux for the evening: Les Fiefs de Lagrange, Saint-Julien, 2009 - good and affordable.

|Verdict||Well deserved two Michelin stars. All courses were fantastic, flawless service, good recommendations from the sommelier. The living room atmosphere makes you feel like a guest of the old Adlon. Unfortunately the Brandenburg Gate was not visible from our table - I recommend to ask for one of the tables by the window at reservation.|
